CSI – Las Vegas Chapter is lucky to have a very diverse group of members that create the quintessential example of what CSI is all about. We are well represented by Architects, Engineers, Consultants, Specification writers and Product Reps from both the private and public sectors. We are finding that our proximity to Arizona, Utah and California brings us members and guests from the surrounding CSI chapters. Whether there is a trade show in town or an out of town firm has a local project, we are lucky to have new faces attend each and every meeting. Join us!

Window Film: Latest Products, Uses and Verification
Window Film has come a long way. New products allow daylight into buildings while reducing harmful ultra violet light and unwanted heat gain. Third party tests by NFRC combined with E- Quest modeling can actually predict energy savings and returns on investment. This has led to obtaining LEED points and conservation for buildings around the globe. There will be a brief discussion of other new film technologies in security and decorative markets.
Attendees will be entered into a raffle for a gift certificate (up to $500.00 value!) for a Huper Optik Ceramic Window Film installation for an automobile or home .
Educational objectives to be covered in the presentation:
- How to specify window film.
- How to determine exactly what glass is installed on an existing building.
- How LEED points can be obtained with the use of window film.
- How the modeling of buildings with and without film is accomplished.
Our Guest Speaker: Frank Friedlander- Partner- Las Vegas Window Tinting
Frank moved to Las Vegas with his family in 1991 to open Las Vegas Window Tinting. Since then he has established the company as one of the premier solar film companies in the country. He and his installation teams have completed projects in Hawaii, California and all around Nevada. Some notable projects are security film for many buildings at Nellis AFB, Stella Lake FBI Building, ATF headquarters and several Veterans Administration offices. Frank and his team have tamed the Death Ray at the Vdara at City Center, calmed the sun in the Mirage Atrium Dome, and beautified offices with custom printed decorative films at the Southwest Gas main offices. In the residential market, they have reduced solar heat gain in over 30,000 single family homes around the valley.
